How To Deal With Pests With Pest Control Techniques

There are several pests that we can see in our house, which usually give us headaches. Among them are mice, bed bugs and termites. These should be controlled immediately in order to avoid more problems that they might cause. Listed below are some description and ways on how to control them.

Mice will not only damage our properties but they will also consume our food if they will not be eliminated. They can also transmit some diseases to the pets and people in the house.

There are many ways by which we can control the mice by some common pest control techniques; like we can keep some poison at the place where movement of rat is most. Another method for trapping a mouse is by non-chemical methods like "rat glue trap", which is non-hazardous as compared to other poisonous chemicals. By using rodenticide is another common method for the slow death of rat. We can also trap rat by putting "rat trap" near their nest.

In addition to mice, many houses have bed bugs also. An adult one has the appearance of an apple seed. If these bugs will not eat, their body will be flat. However, after eating, they will become bloaty. They love making activities during the night. Usually, they are found under loose wallpapers, on bed linings and on picture frames. Also, they can leave blood marks and sweet smell, thus, if you notice these, most probably, you have them in your home.

The common pest control methods by which we can control the bed bugs are: like other pests, bed bugs can also be controlled by keeping our surroundings clean, by cleaning toilet regularly and by cleaning the rooms regularly. Another method of controlling them is by washing the mattresses and pillow covers in hot water because bed bugs cannot survive in hot conditions, and then keeping them outside in hot sun will likewise eliminate them. Another common method is by applying some glue or sticky or some jelly like substance on the legs of bed. When bed bugs will walk on these bed legs they would get stick to it and hence they have no wings and cannot fly, and eventually will die.

Termites can build a mound generally of 40 feet. Termites are not pests. They eat away the wood, destroy plants. When they enter our house and eat away our furniture then we call them pests. Termites are also called white ants as they are white in colour. Termites will die if exposed to air for a very long time, that is why they remain in tunnels and remain away from air. Cellulose material like POP is favourite food of termites. Wood flooring is also destroyed by termites and many other furniture in our homes, offices, restaurants and at many other places.

Common treatment of termites is by putting chemical in the soil to prevent the termite from entering into the house. Another method is by painting the wood material with anti-termite paint as now available in market.
